It is my pleasure to once again serve as Honorary Chairman of the Jerusalem
Fellowships program of Aish HaTorah and to commend to you their upcoming Winter 1997-98
programs.
The Jerusalem Fellowships' pioneering spirit in the field of Jewish education has helped to make it a valuable experience for students who want to learn more about their heritage, and the importance of Israel and its role in the world today.
I have met graduates of the Jerusalem Fellowships who attest to this program's vitality
and non-judgmental educational and political strengths.
They have met with a broad cross-section of Israeli political and social leaders including
the late Yitzchak Rabin, Former Prime Minister Shimon Peres, and Yitzchak Shamir,
President Ezer Weizman and Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert. Shimon Peres and Yitzchak Shamir
may not agree about many things but they both stress how very impressed they are with the
Jerusalem Fellowships.
With my best wishes.
Sincerely,
