 Classes

It's amazing how much the Jerusalem Fellowships can pack into a 3 or 4 week program ... hiking... touring... meeting politicians...  But the fact is, for many of us, what really made the biggest impression were the classes.  Hebrew school was never like this!

On the Fellowships you'll experience a creative array of discussion groups, seminars and lectures with some of Israel's finest educators.

Here are just a few of the topics covered:

Issues in Jewish Philosophy - Explore issues such as what is the meaning of life, free will, pleasure, Jewish concepts of soul and the after-life.

The Jewish Life Cycle -- Rituals and traditions are explained as part of a meaningful philosophy of life.

The Role of Jewish Women -- An analysis from a women's perspective of how the role of woman in traditional Judaism compares with modern feminist philosophies.

Torah and Science -- Explore the question - are Torah and Science contradictory? Dr. Gerald Schroeder, a nuclear physicist and author of "Genesis and the Big Bang", attempts to show harmony between them.

Love, Dating, and Marriage - 3300 year old wisdom about men, women and relationships.

The classes were great, but that doesn't mean we never got out of the classroom.   Touring is an integral part of the program.
