Safety and Security Policy
Dear
Taglit - birthright israel participants,
As
your departure date approaches, allow us to address some issues
regarding safety and security on your upcoming Taglit - birthright israel
trip. We want to
reassure you that your well being is our top priority.
The
government of Israel, a partner in this project, is devoted to
the safety and security of visitors and citizens alike. birthright
israel is in direct contact with the appropriate Israeli security/public
safety authorities. Security
precautions in Israel are extensive, taken seriously and executed
with total precision and professionalism.
Our tours do not travel to or through areas of the West Bank, Gaza or certain areas of East Jerusalem (we do visit the Western Wall and the Jewish Quarter of the Old City). In addition, we daily review all of our itineraries in light of security considerations. These itineraries are cleared through a central Israeli government office that coordinates the activities of the army, the police and the intelligence services. Throughout the trips, we will have daily security briefings. A group's itinerary will be changed immediately to reflect any heightened risk or security concern.
